Scientist Selected as a Top 100 Global Technology Company

Maria Thompson on November 12, 2012

Scientist is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a candidate for Red Herring’s 2012 Top 100 Global award, a prestigious recognition honoring the year’s most audacious and far reaching private technology companies and entrepreneurs from across the globe.

Just getting nominated for the Red Herring Global Awards is a big deal, the initial pool includes companies from over 40 nations, so we are justifiably proud to have made it onto the shortlist. Criteria for making it this far include the following:

  • technology
  • innovation
  • growth
  • potential for global impact

All four of these attributes are key defining characteristics of the Scientist platform which has the potential to quite literally transform the way we do research and development in the 21st Century.

Dr. Kevin Lustig, Scientist’s CEO commented that: ‘Getting shortlisted by Red Herring is a great endorsement for Scientist. We are really pleased to have been recognized by a group as prestigious as Red Herring. Previous winners include game changers as Facebook, Google, and Skype so you are truly in good company to make it onto the list. This is a ringing endorsement of Scientist and everything the team has been working towards to create the game changing platform that takes the old model of R&D and turns it on its head’.

This is not the first award that Scientist has picked up this year. In June, Scientist’s CEO Kevin Lustig was recognized as a ‘Trailblazer’ for his work with Scientist and was nominated as one of Pharmavoice’s top 100 most influential people. We’re pleased to see the momentum building around Scientist. Its taken a lot of hard work to get us to where we are today and we’re very delighted with the level of impact we have had on the research and pharmaceutical community.

The Finalists for the top 100 Awards will be invited to present their winning strategies at the Red Herring Global forum in Los Angeles, from November 27 to 29. The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on November 29 at the event.
