About your lab, what is the history, its mission?

• bbi-biotech GmbH develops, produces and distributes complete fermenter and bioreactor systems and automatic sampling systems.
• Innovation and customization set us apart from the competition!
• We adapt our products to the process of the customer. We never make the customer adapt his process to our products. Also, we don’t compromise when it comes to sterility.

Who had the idea to create your company?

Mr. Bernd-Ulrich Wilhelm is a founder and shareholder of the company. bbi-biotech GmbH started operation in September 2009 and has its main business location in Berlin, Germany.

What services do your company offer?

The bbi-biotech GmbH offers equipment and services for all process applications within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industry. We have developed our portfolio of standard bioreactor vessels as well as for disposable systems of 3rd party suppliers.

Another central issue of bbi-biotech’s activities is the innovative sampling system bioPROBE. It works for the automatic dead-volume-free sampling of fluids to combine cultivation and downstream systems with process analytics.

### Your company has its proprietary patented systems. What else sets your expertise apart from others?

We work with the Max-Planck-Society. They are a strong partner that backs up the development of the sampling technology bioPROBE. The Max-Planck-Society is part of our network built over 3 decades from the pharmaceutical and bioprocess industry. This network comprises now 10,000+ industry contacts. We carefully choose our 900+ suppliers. So we have a specific specialist for every part of a bioreactor.
