What is your company’s mission?
At Bellen our mission is to be your first-choice service provider for contract chemistry services in the small molecules field whilst maintaining our key values of customer focus, continuous improvement, reliability, integrity and sustainability.
What products and services do you offer?
Bellen are a Contract Chemistry Service Organisation (CCSO) specializing in the drug substance small molecules field. Our services range from discovery through to development and manufacturing.
Our CRO service focuses on providing chemistry services globally to early pre-clinical stage pharma and biotechs via FTE and FFS modes. Bellen specializes in the synthesis of novel, complex and challenging small molecule compounds to accelerate your new drug discovery programs.
Our CDMO operation focuses on delivering chemistry solutions tailored to suit different stages of your program needs, providing process development and manufacturing services for small molecule APIs, intermediates and regulatory starting materials (RSMs).
What problems do you solve?
At Bellen, we love chemistry problems! With a highly trained and experienced technical team with access to specialized platforms and varied infrastructure, no chemistry problem is too big or small for us. Our clients would class us as their go-to partner for custom synthesis and manufacturing. If there’s one area where we see our partners contact us time and time again, it’s during the first scale-up of their assets, with a 120-person strong process development team we specialize in delivering effective, robust and scalable routes of production in a timely manner.

We support global pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators and new drug development institutions for their research programs from discovery to commercial stage through comprehensive chemistry solutions.
What new products and services are you developing in 2024?
This year has seen the introduction of our PROTAC related chemistry services. Bellen has assembled a growing team of 25 chemists with expertise in PROTAC technology. Our team has built a collection of E3 ligase ligands, linkers and several literature reported target-binding ligands. We possess rich experience in ligand structure modification, conjugation and all types of custom syntheses from mg to kg scale. Our services are supported with robust purification and analytical support for PROTAC featured compounds.
Bellen is continually improving and adding to our service offerings, with plans to introduce other exciting capabilities over the next couple of years.
